There's a story behind everything.
It wasn't that long ago when I heard this soft voice talk to me, in a quiet but strong whisper, I heard God say:
"Nicole, show the world me, through the gifts I have given you".
It caught me stunned, as I questioned to myself, okay? What are the gifts god has given me?
Not even five minutes went by when my boyfriend came up to me and said "Nicole use your artistic abilities for the glory of god" well something along those lines...
I hadn't even had the chance to tell him what God had just said to me about "showing the world him through the gifts he has given me".
I was suprised and caught off guard.. But knew okay.. God must really be telling me something.
About a week went by and i kind of not really forgot about what had happened but kind of put it aside, and it came to friday night when a leader at my youth group Josh had spoke, I had no idea what he was going to be speaking about but something he said has stuck with me. At the end of his message some of his words were...
"Don't be afraid to use your gifts" .
I sat there in awe. Everything was like puzzle peices in a scattered puzzle, and the peices were coming together.
God first told me to show the world him through the gifts he had given me, cody told me what one of those gifts were and than when i put it aside josh said to not be afraid to use my gifts, and he wasnt even talking to me but to everyone.
Sense than i have began a journey i never thought would be for me, but for me.. drawing is something so profound, drawing a picture isnt just something little to me, but it takes me into a whole other place.
I want to get into a deeper place with God, and i want to start drawing for him, and to show the world who he is.
I truly believe that God does things for reasons, and everything happens for reasons. God is trying to get your attention and talk to you, you have to be whilling to listen.
